Continuing Education
The APS Scientific Summit will offer continuing education (CE) for physicians, nurses, psychologists, dentists, and pharmacists. Credit will be awarded for those sessions attended and evaluated. Successful completion requires that participants register for the meeting, attend and participate, and complete an online evaluation. Participants will receive their CE/CME certificates immediately after they submit their evaluations online.
Physicians
APS is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American Pain Society designates this live activity for a maximum of 27 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Nurses
The American Pain Society has applied to the American Association for Neuroscience Nurses (AANN) as a cosponsor for CE for nurses at the Scientific Meeting. AANN is an accredited provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)’s Commission on Accreditation. APS has requested designation for a maximum of 27 contact hours.
Psychologists
This course is co-sponsored by Amedco and the American Pain Society. Amedco is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Amedco maintains responsibility and designates this program for 27 contact hours.
Pharmacists
This course is co-sponsored by Amedco and the American Pain Society. Amedco is approved by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Pharmacy Education to sponsor continuing education for pharmacists. Amedco maintains responsibility and designates this program for 27 contact hours.
Dentists
This continuing education activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) through joint efforts between Affordable CE Credits and APS.
Physical Therapists
The American Pain Society has applied to the Illinois Physical Theray Association (IPTA) as a cosponsor for CE for physical therapists at the Scientific Meeting.
