Primary Care SIG
Mission
The mission of the Primary Care SIG will be to address the needs of professionals from numerous disciplines interested in the care of patients with chronic pain in primary care settings. These needs include clinical care, education, research, and advocacy related to this population. Activities will include education within the American Pain Society, outreach to other professional societies with related interests (e.g., Society of General Internal Medicine Pain and Addiction special interest groups, Association for Medical Education and Research in Substance Abuse, American Academy of Pain Medicine primary care special interest group), and opportunities for collaboration among members.
