NIH Workshop: Discovery and Validation of Biomarkers to Develop Non-Addictive Therapeutics for Pain
NINDS in collaboration with NCI, NIAAA, NIBIB, NIDCR, NIDA, NIGMS, NINR, NCCIH, and OBSSR will be holding a workshop entitled, Discovery and Validation of Biomarkers to Develop Non-Addictive Therapeutics for Pain. This two-day workshop will be held from November 14-15, 2018 at the Washington Marriot Wardman Park, located next to the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Metro station in Washington, DC.
This meeting will explore the state-of-the-science of different types and modalities of biomarkers for chronic pain; identify the research needed to stimulate their development in a manner that will withstand rigorous validation; and convene academic, biopharmaceutical industry, and government scientists working on biomarker identification and discovery to share and discuss progress, successes, challenges, gaps, and potential solutions going forward. Please register as soon as possible and indicate whether you will be attending in person or online via NIH videocast. Both government and non-government attendees are welcome to register at this time.
