Pain Interprofessional Curriculum Design (PICD) Workshop
Sponsored by the University of Toronot Centre for the Study of Pain, in association with the Centre for Interprofessional Education.
PICD invites pain education advocates interested in promoting the study of pain in an interprofessional context to attend a workshop on October 28-30.
PICD workshop is a unique interactive opportunity for academic faculty and teams to understand and explore the essential strategies and components in the design, implementation, evaluation and sustainability of an interprofessional pain curriculum for health professional students. The course faculty includes experienced education and pain specialists from the health sciences department at the University of Toronto.
The workshop will focus on pre-licensure pain curricula, it will also be relevant for those involved in Continuing Professional Education or other interprofessional initiatives.
The goal is to provide an opportunity to explore the strategies and components in the design of a pain interprofessional curriculum for health professionals within the context of one's own institution.
