The Foundation for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) announces the 2015 spring and fall grant cycle. More information regarding each grant be be found on the Foundation for PM&R website. The following grants are open to any rehabilitation professional, as long as a physiatrist serves as co-investigator.
Spring Grants
Deadline: Friday, May 1
Aspen Medical Products Spinal Bracing Research Grant: One grant of $10,000. The grant selection process is conducted by the Awards and Grants Review Committee with no input from our corporate supporter.
Richard S. Materson ERF New Investigator Research Grants: Two to three grants of $10,000 each. Applicants must be 5 years or less out of a training program.
Mid-career Investigator Research Grant: The grant award ($30,000) is to be used for new research projects that extend an experienced investigator's work in new directions.
NEW! Milbank Foundation Injured Soldiers Rehabilitation Research Grant: One grant of $20,000. Additional research funds may be available to the winner if the topic is related to spinal cord injury.
Gabriella E. Molnar, MD Pediatric PM&R Research Grant: One grant of $10,000. Supported by donation made in Dr. Molnar’s memory.
Scott F. Nadler PASSOR Musculoskeletal Research Grant: One grant of $30,000. PASSOR provided an endowment, in memory of Dr. Nadler, to the Foundation in support of research related to rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions.

Justus Lehmann Research Grant: One $10,000 grant for research on biomechanics/biophysics in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Mallinckrodt Pain Management Research Grant: One grant of $10,000 will be made for a proposal on physiatric management of acute or chronic pain. The grant selection process is conducted by the Awards and Grants Review Committee with no input from our corporate supporter.
