The American Pain Society has five regional sections affiliated by membership and bylaws with the national organization. These organizations offer an opportunity to network with professionals in your region. The regional secieties also deliver local continuing education programs, meetings, and newsletters. Greater Philadelphia Pain Society
The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) is an international, multidisciplinary, non-profit professional association dedicated to furthering research on pain and improving the care of patients with pain. Membership in IASP is open to scientists, physicians, dentists, psychologists, nurses, physical therapists, and other health professionals actively engaged in pain research and to those who have special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of pain. Currently IASP has 6943 individual members from 95 countries. The American Pain Society is a national chapter of IASP.
