APS Position Statements

The American Pain Society may choose to address controversial policies or significant clinical matters by publishing a position statement. Position statements are typically commissioned by the Board of Directors for their review and approval. Following are several position statements the society has developed and endorsed in recent years. Position statements older than three years have been reviewed and updated to ensure their continued relevance.
