Educational Opportunities
The APS Annual Scientific Meeting offers educational programs on the most up-to-date treatment techniques and research discoveries. Continuing education credit is available to attendees in four areas of disclipline: medicine, nursing, psychology, and pharmacy. APS members receive a discount on annual meeting registration.

Networking Opportunities abound at the annual meeting, in regional activities, committees, task forces, and other informal gatherings.
Shared Interests
Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) have been formed to allow members from all disciplines to gather, study and exchange views on areas of common interest. Shared Interest Groups meet at the Annual Scientific Meeting. Optional participation in SIGs is available to all members.
Regional societies offer members in most areas of the U.S. the option to participate in local or regional activities of APS's affiliates. Regional societies offer continuing education and networking opportunities and most also offer a regional newsletter. Membership in APS's regional societies is separate from national membership and dues are charged by individual regional affiliates.
