Share this Expert Resource with New Pain Professionals
Send your staff to “A Patient-Oriented Approach to Navigating the Transition from Acute to Chronic Pain: A Fundamental Course,” a program for residents, fellows, PhD candidates, and other early-career researchers and clinicians that will bolster their foundation in pain science and pain management. Your staff will make connections and learn new perspectives that will improve their practice and enhance your institution.
Participants will examine patient cases and explore the basic, translational, and clinical science behind the acute to chronic pain transition. During this half-day course they will
- explore the unique value of a multidisciplinary approach to pain management and learn how basic science supports patient care
- learn psychological, neurophysiological, immune, and genetic factors that confer either risk or resilience for transitioning from acute to chronic pain
- apply “bench to bedside” translational topics to patient cases
- connect with peers from a variety of backgrounds in pain to achieve a broader understanding of their field.
There is limited space available for this in-person training with experts in the pain field. Fundamentals registration is part of the full registration process. Please select "fundamentals" as its own course.
Share information with an early-career pain professional and help them reinforce the groundwork that will guide their future.
